Software

Computer Vision Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Develop perception algorithms for object detection, tracking and classification
  • Develop algorithms to estimate the state of other agents in dynamic environments
  • Design effective and efficient feature detection methods to assist with online localization
  • Work on making vision systems that are robust to changes in lighting conditions or shadows

Requirements:

  • BS, MS/PhD in Robotics/related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills
  • Experience with vision sensors such as LIDAR, radar, cameras, etc.
  • Expert in designing and building state of the art feature detectors and trackers

Bonus:

  • Experience with embedded linux and real time systems
  • Experience in OpenCV, Gazebo or PCL

Localization Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, evaluate, and implement new online localization techniques that are performant in dynamic environments
  • Design and implement robust lane detection algorithms
  • Develop algorithms to extract features from point cloud and video imagery
  • Use probabilistic techniques to estimate the state of the vehicle

Requirements:

  • BS, MS/PhD in Robotics/related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with online localization systems
  • Experience with probabilistic models for state estimation
  • Experience with hardware such as LIDAR, radar, cameras, etc.
  • C++ programming expertise

Bonus:

  • Experience with embedded linux and real time systems
  • Experience in OpenCV, Gazebo or PCL

Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, train and evaluate various machine learning systems for use in object detection, path planning, and localization
  • Analyze huge amounts of data and create algorithms to provide the best-possible driving
  • Test algorithms in simulation and real world environments

Requirements:

  • BS, MS/PhD in Robotics/related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills
  • Familiar with frameworks such as Caffe, Theano, Pylearn 2, Torch
  • Experience with visual sensors such as LIDAR, radar, cameras, etc.

Bonus:

  • Experience with embedded linux and real time systems
  • Worked with the CUDA platform
  • Exposure to OpenCV and ROS

Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software to improve vehicle control, awareness and performance
  • Implement low level drivers to communicate with various sensors and hardware components

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with real world implementation of robotic systems
  • C++ programming expertise
  • Passionate about self driving technology

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in OpenCV, Gazebo or PCL
  • Experience with embedded linux and real time systems
  • Background in robotics: kinematics, dynamics, planning, state estimation, probabilistic techniques
  • Experience with hardware such as LIDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMUs, CAN bus
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical environments
  • Exposure to ISO26262 or DO-178

Hardware

Drive-by-Wire Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design prototype electrical systems to interface with vehicle drive-by-wire systems (CAN-J1939)
  • Add robustness, redundancy, fault detection, and/or fault tolerance to existing designs
  • Use industry best practices to analyze and mitigate potential failures
  • Reliability testing (environmental, vibration, and other forms)

Requirements:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in mechatronics engineering or similar field
  • Experience working with drive by wire systems
  • Experience with fault tolerant and redundant safety systems
  • Functional safety experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and debugging electrical systems

Bonus Points:

  • Work in aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical environments
  • Embedded firmware development on safety critical systems
  • RTOS experience
  • Experience with ISO26262 or DO-178
  • Environmental, EMI, and testing experience

Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect prototype safety critical hardware systems
  • Design and implement firmware solutions for sensor/actuator interfaces
  • Use industry best practices to analyze and mitigate potential failures

Requirements:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering or similar field
  • Experience with fault tolerant and redundant safety systems
  • Functional safety experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and debugging electrical systems

Bonus Points:

  • Work in aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical environments
  • Experience with ISO26262 or DO-178
  • Environmental, EMI, and testing experience
